I'll sting you

Madeline went to a Halloween party today and I have to say she was the cutest bee there. We cant wait for Halloween!! I hope it doesn't snow... Bees don't like the snow.

Play date at the park

My favorite thing about going to the park last Friday was hearing Spencer laugh hysterically on the swing. I have never seen any baby love the swings so much. His big belly laughs were attracting everyone within earshot. He was just too adorable to pass up. Everyone came over to see the baby with a huge smile and big laugh. Such a sweet boy. Madeline wanted to help out so she volunteered to push him on the swing. I'm now sure it turned out the way she had planned...

Visit from Grandpa

Jim came by for a quick visit yesterday.
( I say that like they live around the corner)
Really he was out here for business and stayed a night with us. It was great to have him. Madeline was especially thrilled to see him. He and Brad worked on a few projects around the house and Madeline wanted to be there for every second. He arrived with gifts from Grammy and Madeline immediately fell in love with the music box she got from her trip to Hans Christian Andersen house. I love it too, now we just need to make sure it doesn't get broken. Spencer got a very cute shake Shake onesie that looks adorable - of course.
Debbie also sent a haunted house craft that Madeline but together with Grandpa.

love that bum

After a very long day my little helper passed out on the couch, while watching her show.

But she woke up in time to read one of her favorite books to Grandpa.

Mama, can we go play in Costco?

A couple of weeks ago, we were in Costco and Madeline saw this little play kitchen. When I tell you it was love at first sight, I mean it was love at first sight!! She ran right over and started playing with it. She got out all the food and started asking me what I wanted her to make. She sat on the floor a played like we were at home- not in a very busy store with people everywhere. I let her play for a long time and then we had to go. Dragging her away from the kitchen was pretty ugly... but now whether or not we are going to Costco she asks of we can go play with the kitchen (she actually calls it her kitchen)
Now people come over and talk to us while she's playing. (since we are there for so long) And do you know what they ALL say? "Come on mom just get it for her." That is the last thing she needs to hear while playing. After parting with the kitchen she found a life size Minnie Mouse and had to give her a little hug. I think Costco has it out for me...
Of course I took a few pictures.

Pumpkins, Pumkins, Everywhere

I just had to add a few more pictures of our day pumpkin picking. Especially this one with Madeline sitting on top of some monster pumpkins :)

Meet me on the front porch

Sunday afternoon turned into a beautiful day, so we pulled up a couple chairs and chatted the afternoon away. It was lots of fun and so nice to be all together.

Here we go a' pumpkining

Well, Its October in New England. The leaves are turning, the wind is blowing and the fire place is on. The perfect time for pumpkin picking. We went to a place near our house that has a pumpkin patch in the middle of an apple orchard. As we were searching out just the right pumpkin for us I looked over and saw Madeline sitting on a pumpkin eating a freshly picked apple. she cracks me up - always up for a snack and a place to sit :)
