Just a few pictures at home and around town.

Camping at home

Madeline and Spencer have been camping at home lately. Maddie packed a umbrella for this particular trip - just in case.

Can we keep him?

Madeline is always telling me how much she loves Spencer and asking me if we can keep him. She cracks me up. Lets get real, of course we are keeping him - I went through a lot to get him here... :)

We have a walker

No that's not a mullet. But it is the cutest boy I know doing a great job walking all by himself. Madeline calls him her superhero and I agree.

No matter how many toys you buy...

They still would rather play with trash that crinkles, books with rip-able  pages and box's of all kinds. This little basket is actually kept empty. It sits in our living room next to the couch. It should (and at one time did) hold magazines and then a little throw. But now it's been claimed, by Spenc.

Play date

Madeline loves her friend Ryan. Whenever we get together she ends up talking about him for days later.

This is my favorite picture - I think it needs a frame and a place of honor in the house :)

Growing up too fast

I just want to hold on to these sweet little faces and their sweet little personalities. They are so happy to help and give us hugs and kisses. Madeline loves to tell me, " You're my best mommy ever"  and of course she is our best Madeline ever. I'm just not ready to see my little ones grow up.  Madeline is quick to remind us that she and Spencer will NOT stop growing up. So there you have, part of  life I guess.

Best Friends

Madeline loves making "funny faces" Spencer and Brad are especially fond of her funny faces

Birthday weekend

Brad and Jim worked very hard all weekend on projects big and small, ranging from the garage to the laundry room. Although I always appreciate help improving the house, I was most appreciative of the work they did in the laundry room. We have been needing cabinets in there since the day we moved in. The lack there of has turned it into somewhat of a dumping ground - which drives everyone in the house CRAZY!! So thank you, thank you Brad and Jim for installing the cabinets. Order has been restored.
After all the hard work was done we were ready to celebrate.
We went out to dinner for Spencer's Birthday. This place was so cool. Its an old restored barn with lots of character. We had a great dinner and even got our own little private room.

Rae and Spenc

After a long weekend full of friends, family and a party - Spencer was ready for a break

Captain Spencer turns ONE Arrrrrggggg

Our sweet little Spencer is officially one year old. I cant believe the time has gone by so fast. We are so blessed to have such a happy, healthy, handsome little man as part of our family. Madeline and Spenc are truly best friends and light up when they see each other. Nothing in life could be better.

Spencer had a swashbuckling good time with family, friends and his first taste of cake. Which he thoroughly enjoyed! ( And yes, I just said swashbuckling) He loved playing with the all the kids, dressing up in his hat and pirate patch and of course opening his presents while his two sets of grandparents watched via Skype.
( You can see them in the background of one of the present opening pictures)

Prepare for lots of pictures...

Time to open presents. Madeline was especially helpful in this department. :)
