Be grateful if your house has grass - any grass

We have a yard - a pretty big yard, FULL OF WEEDS. Literally not a blade of grass. So we took a leap and decided to dig up the weeds, dig out the rocks and finally plant the grass. Sadly we have more dirt and rocks on our property then anything else. So when Brad went out to plant, he ended up looking like Pig-Pen from Charlie Brown.
Don't worry he wasn't out there alone. Maddie was there to pull more weeds and collect rocks in her bucket. I will update next spring with what we hope will be beautiful grass - if not I guess you'll see one angry Pig-Pen.

See you again soon

My mom came to see us last week. It was so nice to have her, she is such a huge help and makes everything go so much smoother. Maddie still asks me where she is so we can play together. Thank you for coming out, I am counting down the days for your next trip.
Love you and miss you.

Who knew putting in a mailbox would be so much work

Jim came out to visit a couple months ago and we put him right to work. We had to he put in a mailbox like the one across the street in the first picture.  I will spare you all the details - basically the guys had to dig a hole for our 600lb post and then "drop" it in the hole.... they did a great job and we are so glad its done.

Davis farm land

We took a trip to Davis farm land in Ma with our new neighbors and their girls. We had a great time, feeding baby calf's, holding bunnies, lambs, and tiny baby chicks. There was even do it yourself face painting...
Maddie bottle feeling the 12 day old calf.
Maddie would have taken this little lamb home if she could - it followed us around all day.
