Apples and Pumpkins

We set out for a day of pumpkin picking and wound up with a cart full of pumpkins and tummies full of apples.

Jim came out to help us install our sprinklers, spend  time with Brad and the kiddies and maybe relax a little. What he got was pouring rain and a lot of hard work.

Spencer got his first hair cut this last September. I cried all my tears at home so I could appear brave for my boy. He did a great job.

Weekend at Storyland

We went away for a weekend in the white mountains. We stayed at a fun hotel and spent the day at Storyland - this was the kids first time at amusement park and no surprise they cant wait to go back.

We stayed at a great hotel the night before Storyland. It had a indoor water park. The kids ( and Brad) had a great time.

Madeline got to have a special tea with Cinderella. She loved every second of it.
 

But by the end of the day, we were ready for home.
 

Mowing the lawn with daddy

Madeline and Spencer LOVE mowing the lawn with Brad. Madeline especially enjoys the time with her daddy. The look on her face as they drive by is pure love and elation. I just love to watch her out there.

 

Whale watching

My mom and I went whale watching together in July. It was so nice to get away - just the two of us. We saw quite a few wales and enjoyed a beautiful day on the water.

Off to the garden

Madeline and Spencer have loved working in the garden this last summer. It's been fun to pick our fresh heirloom tomatoes, sweet corn, snap peas, tons and tons of cucumbers and my favorite, pumpkins.
Somehow I don't have any pictures of said pumpkins but they are there and we cant wait to carve'em up for Halloween.

 

 

 

Kauai

This past July we went on an amazing family trip to Kauai. It was beautiful, relaxing and full of wonderful memories. The only thing missing was our little Madeline and Spencer - but they were happy as can be at home with Bubbie.

Last game of the season.

Madeline played her last game of the season finishing off with 2 goals. Everyone was yelling " go Madeline" - after her goal she gave me a thumbs up. Nice work little lady.
