Life at home

Posted by Picasa

So, I'm realizing now more then ever my life and this blog for that matter are increasingly boring. Clearly my day revolves around Maddie and her schedule. Therefore I live the life of a 7 month old. Although I love my role as mommy and wouldn't trade it for the world, I'm ready to admit I need help. What do moms do with their days...weekends...? Both with and without your kids. I need ideas!Help...

Dont worry we are still here

.....just buried under a little snow. Scan down to catch up on the last few months.

A few Christmas memories

Christmas in no particular order.

Thanks Mom

These are two of my favorite pictures. My mom's unwavering love is what gets me through the day. Thank you for being the best mom and friend I could ever imagine. I'm so glad Maddie and I have you as a mom, grandma, friend and example. Thank you - We Love you.

Brad had surgery on his knee, and is making a full recovery.

Guess who's 6 months old...

I cant believe Maddie is already 6 months old. Where does the time go? I cant help thinking about all the things she has accomplished in the last few months - I feel like a total slacker in comparison. :)
In 6 months Maddie has...
Grown 8 inches
Gained 9 pounds
She has finally grown enough hair to wear a bow - yes!!
learned to smile and giggle
lick her lips (one of my favorites)
She loves to wave her arms and legs back and forth like a little swimming frog
Stand, while holding mommy or daddy's hand
Has grown two bottom teeth - currently working on her two top teeth.
She has learned to sit and play all by herself
She can crawl very well backwards ( we are still working on going forward)
She can talk in sentences (only she understands). But Mommy and Daddy pretend to understand every word.
And nothing makes her happier then being sung to. Her favorite song...the ABC's ( Its true she loves it)

Thanksgivng in CA

Maddie took it upon herself to pack all her favorite toys for her first trip to CA. We had a great time with the Hope family. Maddie played with her cousins Ryan and Megan and met her uncle Mike for the first time. We had a great time being together as a big family.

Best way to get over a broken heart......................

So its been almost two weeks, since the deciding game 7 loss of the ALCS. I gotta admit, the Rays did play a little better than the Sox did (granted I think we could all see the Sox were really only playing about 60%), but I was so dang upset I didn't take calls, respond to lame emails, posts, text messages from all the haters of the Sox out there (all from teams that either didn't make the playoffs or flopped earlier in the playoffs), so now I can get back to normal life, like going to bed before midnight (how lame was is it that both teams were in the eastern market, and we had to cadre to the west coast market by starting at 8pm and 830 almost every night?)

Anyways, to help me get on with life, a good friend of ours (lets call him 'Dougie') invited me to a Patriots game last Monday night. (Apparently Monday was his last day at work, and he took the company tickets, and parking pass I might add). I had never been before, and always wanted to, but couldn't ever get tix. Now that Brady is out, (not only with torn ligaments, but also a horrendous infection, which for some other reason people seem to be happy about) apparently they are a little easier to come by. Its also interesting to note that although he is out, 'the hoodie' still finds a way to keep us tied at the top of our division with the Bills who will surely buckel down the stretch. 50 yard line tickets about 20 rows up from the field are hard to complain about, and made me even temporarily forget about the good guys over at Fenway Park......after all pitchers/catchers report to spring training in about 3 1/2 months anyways.........

Go PATS!!!!!

We Heart the Red Sox's

Maddie went to her first Red Sox game Tuesday night. It was the third game in the play offs. She did great and loved cheering on her team. Unfortunately our Sox are struggling - but we love them no matter what. GO SOX"S

Giggle Giggle

If you listen carefully - over the "beat boxing" you can hear Maddy laughing at daddy. Two peas in a pod.

Dress up

Maddie had a little extra time on her hands so.....

she played dress up.

NYC with RLH

This past weekend we went to NY to visit our favorite resident. We had a great time with Rach. She took us to this yummy lil Mexi Restaurant and then to return the favor we took her to the most amazing doughnut place. Its called Doughnut plant, I saw it on the food channel and knew it was my destiny to go. :)

Seriously people this place is amazing!! They use all natural ingredients so if you get a raspberry glaze you have a little treat covered in real raspberry's. My favorite was the Coconut Square Filled Doughnut. AMAZING!!!

Apple picking

Brad, Mad and I went apple picking a couple of weeks ago, it was so much fun. I think we should buy a lil house on an apple orchard. Seriously... :)
Now I have a zillion apples and no idea what to do with them - any ideas/recipes? For now I'm making applesauce for Maddie, I cant wait to see how it comes out.
