A long time coming...

I debated even posting these pictures. I felt like after a certain point, I didn't "earn" any congratulations. I just wanted to get it done with and go on with my life. My only reason in posting them now is for my sweet and supportive family who wanted to see some pictures. No matter how I felt about it. :)

Happy 1st birthday to our little lady

Maddie had a great time at her party and an even better time opening her gifts. I wish I had some pictures of it. She was a wild woman.

Hurray for family

We loved having our parents out for the weekend of Maddie's Birthday. It was so great to have them all here together. Rachel came on Saturday for Madeline's party - she did a lot of driving for the one day she was here and we really appreciate it. We love you, thanks again for a great weekend!!
In the first picture Maddie is standing in my dad's hands. His dad did it when he was a baby and my dad did it when I was little. For me, its one of my favorite pictures.

Just a few more days

 
Maddie cant wait to see all four of her grand parents and her auntie Rach this week.
Everyone is coming for Maddie's Birthday and we cant wait to have them. I wish we lived closer to our families and everyone could come, but we will take who and what we can get. Thanks for making the trip - see you soon.

After looking all day for her lost pacifier, I finally found it...

Happy Anniversary

It was our 5th Anniversary yesterday. I just cant believe how fast the time has gone. I feel so lucky to have married my best friend.
One of my favorite things about him and our relationship is how much we laugh.
I cant wait to see all that our future holds.

Easter

This was Maddie's first Easter - it was so fun to watch her find her little Easter basket and tear everything out of it. She especially loved the plastic eggs with cheerios inside.

A walk in the park

Do I hear a fire alarm??

The other day I heard this strange beeping, finally I asked Brad about it. He said, I know Ive been listening to it forever... This is how our conversation proceeded.
Me "I think it's our neighbors fire alarm"
Brad "so"
Me " so, they left a little while ago"
Brad "so"
Me " SO, we should go check to make sure the house isn't on fire!"
Brad "oh, ya I guess"

Long story short, the house was full of smoke, the 100 year old Russian lady had left something on the stove and went out for the day with her husband. Brad walked into the house turned of the stove and called the fire department. The couple came home just as the trucks were pulling away. Brad explained what had happened and then came home. A little while later the little old lady knocked on the door and said to Brad "for your bravery" she then handed him his reward - a little bowl with the food that had been burning on the stove for the last hour. She said "I scraped off all the burn" Then Brad ate it.
